Summer fruit harvest continues

There is nothing quite like the taste of fresh summer fruit straight off the plant.  The kids really enjoy being able to get out in the garden and sample whatever is on offer.

As we have spent a lot of time away on holidays over the summer, it is always nice to see how excited my daughter gets when we roll back into the driveway.  Its not long before she has a container full of strawberries, raspberries or apricots ready to show me.

Here are some pictures of this years fruit harvest, with plenty of variety to keep the kids interested.

Ellia is always the most prominent in the photos because she is never too far away from the latest harvest and always shows the most interest!

I also managed to plant a few vegetables in the days we have spent at home, but not as many as last year.  We have been slowly multiplying the original Rhubarb plant and have enjoyed more Rhubarb deserts this year.

The Loquats had another bumper year with plenty of Loquat Jam for friends and family

The leaks also did really well this year as I managed to plant them in some nice fresh compost.

Now that we are approaching February, the apple trees are looking good and we should get a bumper crop out of each of the trees this year.  More to come!
